Backside the Laughter [edit]

  • "Those Were the Days" is the theme vocal from the American sitcom All in the Family, which originally aired from 1971 to 1979. It was performed at the beginning of every episode by the two main characters, Archie and Edith Bunker.
  • The music was written by Charles Strouse and the original lyrics by Lee Adams.
  • Homer'south and Marge'south performance (sitting at the piano, singing slightly off-fundamental, waxing nostalgic in the lyrics) is exactly the same as Archie's and Edith'south, except for the parody lyrics.
  • It is part of the "Lisa's Sax (Medley)" rails on the album Go Simpsonic with The Simpsons.
